1. British Waterways use Portable Navigator Shallow water surveying for canal, river and reservoir projects, British Waterways offer a unique service based on their experience of managing over 3000 km of inland waterways and navigation.
2. Locating Underwater Dive Targets Quest Underwater Services in Dorset was contracted to inspect a long sewer outfall on the south coast of England. They used Portable Navigator to locate all the inspection points.
3. Dredging operations in Pwllheli harbour, North Wales. The Cyngor Gwynedd Council use a custom system based on Portable Navigator and NMEA Pro together with a special hardware interface and multiplexing system to monitor the dredging operations.
4. Sidescan Sonar Data Logging and Annotation. Portable Navigator and NMEAPro take the uncertainty out of using sidescan sonar by logging the position of the tow-fish and by showing the coverage achieved in real time.
5. Southampton Container Terminals Ltd. Use DGPS and NMEAproŽ SCT Ltd., use GARMIN DGPS receivers supplied by Effective Solutions (Data Products) to track the movement of containers that they are handling within the Southampton Container Port complex, speeding shipments on their way by road, rail and sea.
6. Voyage Data Recording Software for AMI Marine (UK) Ltd. by ESL. ESL and Collins Software Services developed the software for AMI's VDR and s-VDR Hardened Voyage Data Recorders. These are essentially "Black Boxes" for ships which record digitally, the bridge and radio voice conversations and all the navigation data.
7. High Speed Hydrographic Analogue Data Logger for magnetic surveys in difficult environments. ESL and Collins Software Services have developed PN Logger a high  speed analogue data logging version of the survey grade Portable Navigator  It incorporates support for two different analogue "front ends" covering high accuracy, 24 bit resolution at lower speeds from PICO Technology Ltd. and fast 16 bit resolution at high speeds of up to 30 samples per second from Data Translation Inc..
