What is WAAS ?

WAAS stands for Wide Area Augmentation System. It is the next generation of Differential GPS. It is already available in the USA and will eventually be available in Europe EGNOS within the next few years (2004 ?). Some of the newer Garmin models are already compatible with this new technology.
